Short Yak #6 - 'Coda' by And Maps And Plans
This weeks short comes from Dublin based animation company, 'And Maps And Plans'. Their description sums it up best...
"A lost soul stumbles drunken through the city. In a park, Death finds him and shows him many things."
Beautiful, slick animation! Enjoy!

Short Yak #5 - 'Just The One Of Us' by Paul Trillo
Part of the 'connected series' by Samsung (thanks Samsung..), this short explores what it would be like to have a different life for a day. I know what you're thinking, "Like Freaky Friday right"? No, not like bloody Freaky Friday.

Short Yak #4: 'The Black Hole' by Olly Williams and Philip Sansom
This weeks film pick comes from British pair, Olly Williams and Philip Sansom! They keep things short and sweet, and it works very well! A fun theme, executed masterfully.
If you had your own black hole, how would you use it?

Short Yak #3 - 'The Missing Scarf' by Eoin Duffy
This week we bring you an animation (lucky things), by Eoin Duffy called 'The Missing Scarf'.
It's beautifully executed in style, themes and context! What starts of being a light-hearted tale of a squirrel that wears a scarf, becomes deeply, deeply profound. Focusing on, acceptance, happiness and even death.
If all that isn't enough for you, it's narrated by George Takei!
Enjoy!

Short Yak #2 - 'Valse' by Chirs Keller
Today's short film comes from Chris Keller, from all the way back in distant 2013. If ever there was a video to prove the beauty of simplicity, it is this! It's softness and incredible sound design will keep you floating until the end.
Take it slow, stick with it, it's worth it. (There are all the components for a snail joke in there, but i'm not gonna bother)

Short Yak #1 - 'What Cheer?' by Five Eyed Film
Short films are a thing of beauty. Ideas and concepts, condensed and perfected into bite size stories. Sometimes ridiculous, sometimes profound, sometimes life changing, sometimes lost in an over-saturated market.
The beauty of short film lies in it's accessibility for the film-maker, as well as the audience. Small budgets are allowed, even encouraged. This creates a medium for everyone!
Over the coming months, we're going to try and bring you our favourite short films from all over the internet! Starting with the fantastic 'What Cheer?' by Five Eyed Film, and starring Richard Kind!
How would you deal with a 20-piece brass band that only you could hear? This film deals with grief, acceptance and mental health in an imaginative way!
